Palettes for the Senses
Since the spring flowers aren’t in bloom yet, get out and smell some art. Hedge Gallery is opening Palettes for the Senses with Indigo Perfumery, the only perfumery in the state of Ohio that allows you to choose your own perfume from their creations or invent your own fragrance. The exhibit features 11 installations, paintings and multimedia pieces experienced by sight and smell thanks to a fragrance placed next to each piece that is made for that piece. Rouge One: A Star Wars Story
Get your lightsabers ready for these special showings of Rouge One: A Star Wars Story at the Great Lakes Science Center’s Cleveland Clinic Dome Theater. Watch the Rebel Alliance attempt to steal the plans for the Death Star on the giant dome screen that stretches across six stories and uses multistory images and 11,600 watts of ultra-real digital sound. Meryl Davis and Charlie White
If you were glued to the tube watching the Winter Olympics, you might remember figure skaters Meryl Davis and Charlie White win the gold in Sochi, Russia, in 2014. The pair glides into the Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink Feb. 18 for a performance. Another gold medal winner, Carol Heiss Jenkins, from the 1960 U.S. Olympics emcees the show. Other local figure skaters from area Figure Skating Clubs perform pair, solo and group routines. Amazing Species: Life at the Limits
If you think Cleveland’s winters are cold, get ready to be impressed by these species that can survive in temperatures as low as minus 458 degrees Fahrenheit.
